Dr. Avi Shelemay
Dr. Shelemay maintains a private practice in Ottawa limited to periodontics and implant surgery. Before moving to Ottawa in 2006, Dr. Shelemay was an Assistant Professor (part-time) with the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Toronto, and staff periodontist at Mount Sinai Hospital. He also maintained a private practice limited to Periodontics and Implant Dentistry in Ottawa. Dr. Shelemay is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada in Periodontology. He obtained his DDS from the University of Toronto in 1996, and subsequently completed a one year internship at Mount Sinai Hospital. Dr. Shelemay completed his MSc degree and specialty training in Periodontology at the University of Toronto in 2002. Dr. Shelemay lectures in Canada and the US, as well as provides dental implant training and bone grafting .
