Mentorship in Bone Augmentation (MBA):
This comprehensive course provides dentists with evidence-based protocols and strategies for optimal extraction socket management. Emphasis is placed on preserving ridge dimensions, minimizing aesthetic and functional complications, and preparing sites for restorative or implant therapy.
Participants will gain in-depth knowledge of socket classification systems, biologic healing pathways, and decision-making algorithms for choosing between spontaneous healing, socket preservation, immediate implant placement, or ridge augmentation. Various bone graft materials and membranes will be critically evaluated, and their indications will be discussed.
Techniques for ridge reconstruction following dental extractions will be described in detail.
Educational Objectives
- Diagnose and classify extraction sites based on soft and hard tissue status
- Select appropriate grafting materials and membranes based on defect type
- Perform socket preservation with predictability
- Understand timing protocols for implant placement post-extraction
- Manage complications and assess long-term outcomes
This course is designed for general dentists, periodontists, oral surgeons, and implantologists seeking to enhance their surgical proficiency and treatment planning in socket management.

Surgical Extractions and Ridge Preservation Bone Grafting Hands-On February 21, 2026:
In this unique hands-on course, clinicians will learn how to extract teeth in an implant-minded fashion, classify the socket defects and follow the appropriate bone grafting protocol. Various pig mandible exercises will provide clinicians with a complete and enriching day of learning.
Join us for this epic education event with our Mentors to elevate your practice.
Surgical extractions will become predictable, efficient and minimally invasive from the patient’s perspective.
You will learn how to simplify your implant surgery by addressing the bone during tooth extraction, resulting in alveolar ridges that are suitable for a straight forward implant surgery.
We are excited to help you in any way possible to meet your implant needs and address any questions in a friendly, collaborative, and supportive learning environment. Sharpen your scalpels and sign up soon before it’s too late! Space is limited.
Here’s what you will learn
- How to extract teeth and preserve bone
- How to deal with broken roots
- How to preserve a socket for an implant
- What materials are available for socket grafting and how to use them
